Synerra saved 18 hours a month across content and communications, without sounding like AI.
One hands-on training day turned weekly LinkedIn content, a monthly opportunities newsletter and email follow-ups into working automations.
The firm
Synerra is a community-driven climate initiative focused on how climate change is reshaping Greece. Through its newsletter and LinkedIn presence, it brings together evidence, human stories and practical opportunities for action. Co-founder George Comninos wanted to publish useful, evidence-led content consistently without spending more than a day each week producing it or settling for generic AI copy.
The problem
Producing Synerra’s weekly LinkedIn content took a full working day. George had to find timely ideas, decide what Synerra should say, develop the narrative, write the post and check every claim.
The monthly opportunities newsletter took another four to five hours to assemble. Other useful ideas were often left untouched because creating them would add even more work.
George was already using AI in the browser, a chat at a time. It could help with isolated parts, but each piece still needed significant input and refinement before it sounded like Synerra, because nothing carried over between chats.
What we did
01 Started with the work taking the most time
Before the training, we mapped Synerra’s recurring content and communications work, collected real examples and recorded how long each task currently took.
The day itself ran in the Claude Cowork desktop app, so the workflows were built where they would actually be used rather than demonstrated somewhere else.
That gave the day a clear priority and a baseline against which to measure the result.
02 Built two complete content workflows
The LinkedIn workflow finds timely topics, asks George about the angle he wants to take, drafts the post in his voice, removes common signs of generic AI writing and checks every factual claim.
The newsletter workflow gathers relevant jobs, grants and climate opportunities, organises them into Synerra’s preferred structure and produces a draft ready for review.
Both workflows use previous examples and George’s feedback, so the output becomes more consistent over time.
03 Automated the follow-up and tested the results
We also scheduled a daily inbox scan that identifies messages awaiting a reply, without George having to search for them manually.
At the end of the day, George tested the content workflows using real and representative examples. We compared the new timings with the baselines recorded before the session.
What changed
18 hours
Saved each month across content and communications
Five hours saved on each week’s content across three posting weeks a month, plus three to four on the monthly newsletter.
1 day → 2 hrs
Weekly LinkedIn content, from finding the idea to a checked post
4–5 hrs → 1 hr
The monthly opportunities newsletter
A scheduled daily scan now identifies unanswered messages automatically, so follow-ups no longer depend on remembering to look.
The biggest change was not simply producing content faster. Synerra could increase its output without replacing George’s perspective with generic AI-generated copy.
In George’s words
“The biggest surprise was that saving time didn’t mean settling for generic AI copy. I can get a week’s content done in two hours and it still sounds like something I’d actually write.”
